Pick colorful fruits and vegetables. Generally, the richer the color, the more nutrients it has. WShen you get home, refrigerate fresh produce and eat it promptly. Some foods, such as potatoes and bananas, don't need to go in the fridge.
But tomato paste, spaghetti sauce, and other processed tomato products. These foods actuallly pack more of the antioxidant lycopene than raw tomatoes. The heat used during processing makes the difference.
